Mahindra THAR 5-Door Launch is confirmed but it is a long wait.

Interior & safety 

Get in, the Thar 5-door cockpit has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a colour digital instrument cluster, a centrally mounted multi-information display and circular air conditioning vents. Other Mahindra 5-door versions could be further integrated with additional safety features including rear disc brakes, rear camera facility, side and curtain airbags, and blind spot monitor. 


Exterior design 

Those 5-door cars are kind of like 2-door cars with two extra side doors to access the rear seats and a bigger window in the rear. The Thar 5-door can have some tweaks in the front and rear bumpers, the top wheel location, the roof rails and the alloy wheels as well. 


Speed & Sunroof features 

The current gasoline motor has a top speed of about 150 kmph (manual) and 140 kmph (automatic) while the diesel motor reaches the same speed of around 140 kmph (manual) and 130 kmph (automatic). An integrated sunroof that can be an added feature as it complements the cabin with more brightness and ventilation. The Mahinda model has a wireless charger built that will charge phones that support wireless charging without any wires attached. Rear AC vents can substantially increase the rear passenger cooling efficiency. 


Sleek Engine

In terms of the powertrain, the New Mahindra Thar 5-door version should get the same engine options as the current 3-door version, which is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel machine. While these motors may be programmed to generate more power and torque, the Thar 5-door will be heftier and more spacious than the formerly 3-door model.
