The New MG Car MG Cloud EV Is Teased: Know About Price And Features

The Cloud, which may be renamed for the Indian market and is currently sold under SAIC's Wuling sub-brand overseas, is expected to fall between the Comet and ZS EV in JSW MG Motor India's lineup.

Morris Garages hasn't released a brand-new model in India in more than a year, but the MG Cloud electric crossover will soon put an end to the company's dry period. With the promise of combining the "comfort of a sedan and expanse of an SUV," the business, now known as JSW MG Motor India, has unveiled the first teaser for its next electric vehicle (EV). Towards the conclusion of the movie, the face of the Cloud is apparent. The crossover is marketed internationally under the Wuling sub-brand of parent company SAIC; however, JSW MG Motor may decide to use a different moniker for its Indian debut. The term "Excelor EV," which may be one of the alternatives for this new EV, was recently trademarked by the business.

MG Cloud EV: Specification

The MG Cloud EV measures 1,850 mm in width and 1,652 mm in height, making it both broader and taller than the MG ZS EV, while it is somewhat shorter at 4,295 mm. It also has a significantly longer wheelbase (2,700 mm) than the ZS EV (2,585 mm), and it is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels that are shod with 215/55-section tyres. Although the photographs appear to show a huge hatchback, JSW MG Motor India has designated it as a crossover.

MG Cloud EV: Configuration And Attributes

The MG Cloud's interior features two screens: an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch freestanding central touchscreen entertainment system. In addition, it has a motorized tailgate, 360-degree cameras, wireless phone charging, six speakers for music, an electronic tailgate, "Italian bubble-style" leatherette seats (which the front passengers may modify), and linked car technology.

MG Cloud EV: Protective Gear

Along with sophisticated driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure warning, the Cloud also comes equipped with a safety kit that includes four airbags, electronic stability control, disc brakes on all four wheels, and hill hold assist.

MG Cloud EV: Power, Range, And Battery

The Cloud EV's battery uses lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) cells and is around the same size as the ZS EV's, at 50.6 kWh. Therefore, its range—which may reach up to 460 kilometres—is probably going to be rather similar to the ZS EV's. If you use a standard AC charger, it will take more than 7 hours to charge it to 100%, while a DC fast charger will charge it to 80% in a little over 30 minutes. The front wheels of the Cloud EV are powered by a single electric motor, which produces a max output of 134 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, which is much less than that of the ZS EV.

MG Cloud EV: Anticipated costcki

The Cloud EV is anticipated to fit in between the Comet and the ZS EV in India. When the Cloud EV is introduced in September, expect to pay between Rs. 15-20 lakh. It will be placed directly in opposition to the Tata Nexon EV, which continues to be the best-selling electric passenger car in India.

MG Cloud EV is yet to be announced in September with a different name in the Indian Automobile market. To keep yourself updated visit www.wheelsbingo.com.
